Kathryn L. Fink, 64

Kathryn L. Fink, 64, of Kennard, died on Tuesday, Sept. 15, 1998, at St. Joseph Hospital in Omaha.

Services were Friday, Sept. 18, at the Park Congregational United Church of Christ west of Elgin with the Rev. Ray Avidano officiating. Carolyn Johnson was the organist.

Pallbearers were Bill Edwards, Dick and Doug Von Bonn, George and Bill Sprout and Randy Erb.

Burial was in the Park Cemetery.

Kathryn Lee Asch was born April 4, 1934, at Cedar Rapids to Clarence and Carrie (Green) Asch.

In 1946, the family moved to Orchard where Kathryn graduated from Orchard High School in 1952. She attended Wayne State College and taught for one year at Royal.

On Aug. 13, 1953, she married Keith L. Fink at the United Brethren Church in Orchard.

The couple farmed for two years at Elgin before moving to a dairy farm in Wisconsin where they lived for nine years.

They returned to Nebraska and settled at Kennard. Mrs. Fink recently retired after 23 years of work for AT & T in Omaha.

Survivors include her husband, Keith, of Kennard; two daughters, Ramona Lee Fink of Lincoln and Audrey Lynette Schleicher and husband, Gary, of Gering; one daughter-in-law, Kathy Fink of Troy, Mont.; two sons, Dr. Bruce Kendall and wife, Lorie, of Havrede Grace, Md., and Brian Kyle and wife, Yin Lee, of Lincoln; six grandchildren, Caroline, Valarie and Seth Schleicher and Andrew, Kayla and Kelly Fink; one sister, Connie Asch of Tucson, Ariz.; one brother, Karl Asch of Garden City, Kan.; and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two sons, Steven and William Fink.
