Services for Eugene Husk, 79 of Herman, who died at Immanuel Medical Center in Omaha Feb. 8, 1997 will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 12 at the Herman United Methodist Church. Burial will be in the Herman Cemetery.

Eugene Raymond Husk was born Jan. 11, 1919 at rural Blair to Charles and Jennie Cook Husk. He attended elementary school at Pleaasant View and graduated from Blair High School.

He served in the Army during World War II and was discharged in 1945. He worked for Larsen & Jipp Construction, and from 1965 to 1985 for the Washington County Road Department.

He was a member and past Worthy Patron of the Order of the Eastern Star, Herman Chapter No. 216; a Master Mason and Past Master of the Herman Lodge No. 222 AF & AM.

He married Gracie Jackson Dec. 31, 1943.

He was preceded in death by his parents; six brothers, Clarkson, Harry, Burr, Wallace, Lloyd and Donald and by one sister, Jennie Susan Husk.

He is survived by his wife, Gracie; daughters and sons-in-law, Carole Jean and Ron Van Kirk, Bancroft, Nebr.; Sharon and Perry Gydesen, Odell, Nebr.; Jacque and Larry Orvis, Norfolk, Nebr.; a son and daughter-in-law, John and Judy Husk, Kobe, Japan; nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
