Nate L. Tedrow Jr. of Kennard passed away Thursday, Nov. 9, at Bergan Mercy Hospital. Prior to his illness, Nate lived in LaVista, and moved to Kennard in January of this year to live with his sister and brother-in-law, Kathy and Howard Kofoed. He stayed there until his illness progressed. He was living at Nebraska Skilled Nursing and Rehab since July, and prior to that he was at Madonna Rehabilitation Hospital, Hillcrest Rehabilitation, following numerous hospitalizations.

Nate will be remembered for many things throughout his life, including his radio career as Jon Anthony on The Hitkicker, and a disc jockey at WOW in past years. He had also served on the Fremont Volunteer Fire Department, was a Security Officer at Westroads Mall and other venues. Nate always worked multiple jobs, and was most recently employed by the Nebraska Furniture Mart, where he leaves many friends.

Nate was born Aug. 15, 1957 in Fremont, to Nate L. Tedrow Sr., and DeLores M. Tedrow. He attended Fremont Public School before moving to Spiker and attending Immanuel Lutheran School in Hooper. He graduated from Arlington High School in 1976.

Nate was preceded in death by his parents, Nate and DeLores Tedrow, and both maternal and paternal grandparents.

He is survived by his sons, Christopher and Jon Tedrow of Fremont, a sister and brother-in-law, Kathy and Howard Kofoed of Kennard, a brother and sister-in-law, Michael and Sandy Stokka of Mankato, Minnesota, five grandchildren, eight nieces and a nephew.

A Memorial Service will be Sunday, Nov. 19 at 3 p.m. at The Arbor Society located at 2819 S. 125th Ave., Ste. 367 in Omaha. A Celebration of Life is scheduled to follow and location will be announced at the service. Condolences may be sent to Kathy Kofoed, P.O. Box 192, Kennard, NE 68034.
