FREMONT -- Pamela K. Hancock, 73 years, of Fremont died Tuesday, Nov. 14, 2017, at Fremont Medical Health Center. Pamela was born Nov. 24, 1943, in San Francisco, California, to Ralph and Mable (Lewis) Petet.

She lived in San Francisco during World War II and moved to Comstock and then to Tekamah. She graduated from eighth grade at District 8 at Tekamah and graduated in 1961 from Tekamah High School. She moved to Fremont in 1961. Pamela married Lawrence D. Hancock on Nov. 9, 1962, and they later divorced. He preceded her in death on Nov. 14, 2013. She retired in 2010 from Hormel Foods in Fremont after 34 years of employment.

Pam was a member of First Baptist Church in Fremont, a very proud member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and a former member of a Red Hat Society. She volunteered at Fremont Health Medical Center. She was an avid genealogist, Huskers Fan and Elvis Fan. She traveled as much as possible with family and friends and had planned a trip for later this winter. She visited Graceland multiple times and enjoyed flowers and gardening. She loved her dog, Dutchess, a Boston terrier.

She is survived by sons, Scott (Angie) Hancock, Chris Hancock, all of Fremont, and Tyler (Michelle) Hancock of Arlington; brother, Jerry (JoAnn) Petet of West Point; sister, Sharon Sohl of Columbus; and grandchildren, Nathan Hancock, Sara Hancock, Caleb Hancock, Jordyn Hancock, Brady Hancock, and Cameron Hancock.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
