He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary B. (Poulson) Larson, Ph.D.; parents, Dorothy and Herman Larson. He is survived by children: Angelynn McGee, Barry Larson (Tina), and Jay Larson (Liz); stepchildren: Judy Veatch (Matt), Susie Burket (Dennis), William Mitchell (Heike Tammen); ten grandchildren; significant other and companion, Rita Hogue; sister, Ruth Petersen (Jim); mother of his children, Judith Pleas.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, Nov. 26 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the West Center Chapel, 7805 W. Center Rd., Omaha. His Funeral Service will be Monday, Nov. 27 at 11a.m. at Emanuel Lutheran Church, 2444 No. Broadway in Council Bluffs, Iowa. Graveside Service on Monday at 2 p.m. at Blair, Nebraska Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Emanuel Lutheran Church in Council Bluffs.
