Harold Eugene Anderson

Published in the Enterprise April 19, 1928

Many Washington County people will remember Dr. P. J. Clark and family, formerly of Herman and also the Sam Anderson family, pioneer settlers north of Blair in the Kindred School District. Mrs. Clark was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Sam Anderson. A few years ago the Clark and Anderson families went to Powell, Wyoming where the different member of the family took up land under an irrigation project. After settling in Wyoming, Robert and Joe, two of the brothers, bought land in Colorado but have since moved back to Powell.

The following letter received from Mrs. Clark is self-explanatory:

Powell, Wyo., April 10, 1928

Dear Sir: Enclosed is the obituary of brother Joes baby and you will know what to say as to his former residence there. They moved here from Colorado in December, the baby taking sick just before they started with what proved to be miliaria tuberculosis, for which there is no cure.

We think of you people very often and would be very glad to have you visit us. We are next door to Yellowstone Park, which would make a fine vacation trip for you and Mrs. Rhodes, with a visit to us on the side. Hope to see you both, I am, Very truly, Anne Clark

Obituary

Harold Eugene Anderson, second son of Joseph G. and Rosa Bennett Anderson, was born at Towner, Colorado, Oct. 28, 1926, and died at Powell, Wyoming April 7, 1928, age one year, five months and ten days.

An unusually bright and attractive child he quickly won the love of all who knew him, and his parents felt they had been especially blessed.

While an apparently healthy child, he contracted a severe cold in early fall that so weakened his resistance that he quickly fell a victim to the insidious malady that caused his death. For the past four months he has been continuously ill and while loving hands did all in their power to save him it was always with the knowledge that there was little hope.

He leaves to mourn his passing, his father, mother, one brother, Glen and one sister, Irene.
