Eleanor Marie (Walters) Wolf
Died on 12/24/2017

Published in the Enterprise December 29, 2017

Eleanor Marie Wolf of Arlington, NE passed away Dec. 24, after a long battle with dementia.

Eleanor was born Jan. 21, 1936 in Omaha and is a graduate of Omaha South High School. To help reach her goal of a college education, she moved to Washington D.C. for a job in the Department of Defense at the Pentagon. She later pursued ministry studies at Golden Valley Lutheran Bible Institute, which led to parish work in North Dakota & Minnesota.

She married Delmer Wolf on Nov. 18, 1967 and settled near Arlington, where she was able to share her gift of music: singing at Church events, leading adult and youth choirs and performing at gatherings great and small.

She loved pets and enjoyed photography, taking pictures of the world and people around her. She enjoyed arts and crafts and annually made Christmas wreaths for loved ones. Despite life-long challenges of limited hearing and vision, she worked to bring love and joy to her family and those around her.

Eleanor’s life was a living example of one of her favorite Bible verses: Philippians 4:13. “I can do all things through Him who gives me strength.”

She was preceded in death by her mother Mary, father Frank and sister Betty. She is survived by husband, Delmer, of Arlington; son Jodel, daughter son-in- law Jennifer and Mike Dammann and brother Frank, all of Omaha; loving nieces and nephews and life-long friends.

Visitation will be Thursday Dec 28 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. with funeral services at 11 a.m. Friday, all at Larkin Korisko Staskiewicz, 5108 F Street in Omaha. Burial will follow at Graceland Cemetery, 42nd and L Street.
