Mrs. Chris Poulson passed away at the Blair Hospital at 7:30 yesterday morning, Sept. 7th, of dropsy. She underwent an operation for a rupture some months ago and seemed to be much improved, but a dropsical condition developed. She had been in bed for about four weeks, but was able to be taken to the house of the short funeral service there of her husband last week. The funeral services will be held tomorrow at the house at 1:30 and at the Danish Lutheran Church at 2 o’clock, Rev. H. Nielsen officiating, assisted by Rev. N. P. Lang, of Chicago. Burial will be in the Lincoln Cemetery at Orum, by the side of her husband, who was laid to rest there only last week. Miss Bodil Christina Nelson was born in Horsens, Denmark, February 11th, 1862, so was past 64 years of age. She came to this country with her parents in 1880 and that same year was united in marriage to Chris L. Poulson on May 20. Six children were born to them, one daughter dying in infancy. There are four sons, Nels, Martin and Soren, who live in the Orum neighborhood, and Carl, of Exira, Ia., and one daughter, Christina, who lives at home. Mr. and Mrs. Poulson moved to Blair from the farm near Orum May 13th, 1915, and this has been their home since that time. Mrs. Poulson leaves one sister, Mrs. Anna Jensen, of this city, her other sisters and brothers having all preceded her in death. There are eight grandchildren. The children are thus called into the house of mourning for a second time within a little over a week and have the sincere sympathy of their many friends in their double bereavement.

~The newspaper has her middle name, Christiana and her headstone has it, Katherine.
