Sarah Virginia Rosenbaum (Garrett)

Mrs. Sarah Rosenbaum, 80, died Sunday evening at 8:30 at her home three miles west of Kennard following a serious illness for the past three weeks. She had been feeble for many years and during the past three weeks her health declined rapidly. Mrs. Rosenbaum was born, reared and married in Washington County, Va., and settled in Fr. Calhoun in 1875. She lived there for three years after which she moved with her husband to the present farm, where they homesteaded. Surviving six sons, Edward and John, of Omaha; Bink and Jesse, who live in the state of Washington; Buck of Kennard and Joe, at home; three daughters, Mrs. Chris Petersen, of Benson; Mrs. Nancy Robertson, of Ft. Morgan, Colo., and Mrs. Mattie Hoteling, of Oklahoma; three brothers, Henry Garrett, at home; George and James of Iowa. Her husband died in 1916 and a daughter Mrs. Carrie French, died in 1924. Funeral services were held Tuesday at the Methodist Church at Kennard. Interment was made in the Kennard Cemetery.
