Miss Susan McCann, formerly of this city passed away Sunday. December 12th, at the Paxton Memorial Hospital in Omaha, where she underwent a serious operation the previous Thursday. She will be remembered by many friends in Blair and Washington County. Miss McCann was born in Damascus, Va., and came to Nebraska with her sister who preceded her in death some years ago. She came to the home of her uncle, Isaac McCann, who lived near Kennard. Later she opened a dress making shop in Blair. Some twenty years ago she went to Omaha, where she has since resided. She is survived by her aged mother, of Damascus, Va., beside brothers and sisters in Virginia and one brother in the state of Oregon. The funeral was held last Wednesday at 2 o’clock p.m. from the N. P. Swanson Chapel the Rev. P. C. Baltzy, of Kountze Memorial, officiating with burial at Forest Lawn.
