Beverly Norma Fisher, 82, of Iowa Falls, Iowa, died on Saturday, August 12, 2006, at the Mercy Health Center in Mason City, Iowa. Memorial services were Wednesday, Aug. 16, at First Congregation United Church of Christ in Iowa Falls with burial in the Alden Cemetery.

Beverly Norma Fisher was born on April 5, 1924, in Blair, the daughter of Charles and Hazel (Hartman) McBride. She graduated from High School in Blair in 1943 and was united in marriage to Wayne Fisher on March 24, 1946.

Mrs. Fisher had worked at Safeway in Blair as a checker and helped on the farm. In 1978 she and her husband retired to Rogers and Bella Vista, Ark., and returned to Iowa in March 2000. She was a member of the First Congregational United Church of Christ and a past member of the Eastern Star in Alden. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, and knitting.

She is survived by her husband, Wayne; three sons, Bruce of Slater, Iowa, Mark of Clear Lake, Iowa, and Paul of St. Peter, Minn.; seven grandchildren; and three great-granddaughters. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Fredrick and Charles McBride and three sisters, Kathleen, Maxine, and Pauline.
