Wallace Hamilton Plummer, age 86, was taken to his eternal home on Jan. 12 at Columbus Care in Columbus.

He was born to Guy and Reba Plummer in Sioux City, Iowa on Sept. 27, 1931. He graduated from Malvern High School in 1948. He married Alice Andersen on Oct. 26th, 1952 and they were married for 65 years. He was in the helicopter squadron of the US Marines from Jan. 1952 to Jan. 1954 and was stationed in Santa Anna, Calif. He had various jobs including barbering in Blair and driving school bus for Blair Public Schools. He was baptized in 1958 at First Lutheran Church in Blair. He was a member of Peace Lutheran Church in Columbus.

Survivors include his wife, Alice of Columbus; one son Dean(Joan) of Columbus; two daughters- Sheila Jansen of Columbus; Patricia (Jan) Huff of Papillion; daughter-in-law Michelle(Pat) Conroy of Omaha, one brother Gail Rodney of Atlantic, Iowa; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Wallace was preceded in death by one son--Gordon, one daughter- Robin, his parents Guy and Reba, and two brothers-Robert and Gerald.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday Jan. 17 at 10:30 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Blair. Interment will be at the Blair Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Campbell-Aman Funeral Home in Blair on Tuesday from 5-7:00 p.m. Memorials are suggested to Christ Lutheran Church, Trinity Lutheran Church, Columbus Care & Rehabilitation Nursing Home in Columbus, Nebraska or to the organization of the Donors Choice.
