George W. Kincaid

Mr. Geo. W. Kincaid, a former citizen of this county, died suddenly of a stroke of apoplexy, at his home in Omaha last Thursday evening at the age of sixty-seven years.

Mr. Kincaid came to Nebraska with his parents in 1863. He grew to manhood on a farm five miles southeast of Kennard, attending the winter terms of school in the Maney district with other children of the pioneers in that part of the county.

He married Miss Alice Caldwell an older sister of James and George Caldwell of this city. They lived for many years on a farm near Arlington and later moved to Elk City and then to Omaha where they have since resided.

He is survived by his widow, two sons, John and Wade of Omaha, and a daughter, Mrs. Elsie Gage of Lincoln; four grandchildren, and one brother in Missouri and sister in Omaha.

Funeral services were held at Benson, Nebr. on Sunday afternoon and burial was made in the Blair Cemetery.

The body of George Kincaid, who died at his home at Benson the latter part of last week, was laid to rest in the Blair cemetery on Sunday afternoon. The deceased, who grew to manhood on a farm south of this city, was fairly well acquainted here and was a brother-in-law of J. R. Caldwell.
