News was received in town Thursday of the death of George Schafersman in Lord Lister hospital in Omaha at nine o’clock that morning. Mr. Schafersman was a former resident of Arlington but married several years ago and moved to Colorado where he has since resided. His wife passed away shortly after the marriage and George remarried in Colorado. His wife and stepson mourn his loss, also several other near relatives among them being Mrs. Gus Carlson, Dale and Ed Schafersman, of Telbasta, and a sister in California. Also a brother, Will, of Lincoln. He was brought to Omaha for treatment for pernicious anemia but passed away a few hours after reaching the hospital. The funeral was held Sunday with burial in the Telbasta Cemetery beside the father and mother. Mr. Schafersman was a man of splendid character and the sympathy of the community goes out to the family at his untimely death. Obituary courtesy of the Washington County Genealogical Society.
