James B. Sully, of DeSoto, was taken seriously ill with heart trouble last week and was taken to St. Catherine Hospital in Omaha for treatment and care. He passed away at about 5 o’clock Sunday morning, despite everything being done for him that could be done. The funeral was held at the Catholic Church yesterday morning. Father Byersdorfer officiating. Deceased was born at Rose Valley, Vt., August 11,1868, so was almost 68 years old. He came to this county about forty years ago and on May 3rd, 1893, he was married to Miss Elizabeth Fenton in this city. He is survived by his wife and four children, Joseph and John live on a farm south of town, Fenton runs the DeSoto store and Miss Grace lives at home. There are three brothers living, Thos., of Seattle, wash., Will and Marshall in Omaha, and one sister, Mrs. M. E. Holten, of Omaha. Mr. Sully was held in very high esteem by his neighbors and friends. As was indicated by the large attendance at the funeral service. The many friends of the family mourn with them in their sudden bereavement.
