Mrs. Patrick Gillespie formerly a resident of this community, passed away at her home in Omaha last Saturday afternoon as the result of a stroke of paralysis. She suffered the first stroke on the Tuesday previous to her death and this first stroke was closely followed by another from which she never rallied and which finally caused her death on Saturday afternoon.

Mrs. Gillespie was born in Omaha fifty-seven years ago and shortly afterwards the family moved to the farm north of Blair but later moved to Omaha where she met and married Mr. Patrick Gillespie. They immediately moved to the farm where they lived until a few years ago when on account of her health they left the farm and moved to Omaha where they were living at the time of her death.

The funeral services were held in the St. Johns Church, Omaha on Tuesday morning under the auspices of the Catholci Church of which se was an active member.

Many Blair relatives and friends were in attendance at the last sad rites on Tuesday as the deceased was a woman who was held in the highest esteem by all who know her.
