John Henry Block, born March 4, 1865 in Schleswig, Holstein, Germany passed away at his home near Lewellen, Nebr. on April 15, 1928.

He was married August 6, 1890 to Anna Marie Toft of Orum. His wife preceded him in death four years ago.

Five children, Mrs. N. M. Poulson of near Orum, Mrs. Andy McCoy of Lewellen, Nebr. John H. Block, Jr. of Scribner; Mrs. Geo. H. Duke of North Platte and Hans A. Block at home, also one brother, Ed Block at Oshkosh, Nebr., and one brother and two sisters in Germany.

Interment was made in the Lewellen Cemetery.
