H. P. Sorensen passed away at the Blair Hospital of heart trouble at about 7 o’clock Monday morning having been there under special care and treatment for the past seven weeks. The funeral was held at the Danish Church this afternoon, Rev. H. Nielsen officiating. Burial was in the Blair Cemetery by the side of his wife, whose death occurred some fourteen years ago while they were living here. Mr. Sorensen was born in Denmark and would have been 84 years of age had he lived until July 8th, this year. He came to this country in 1887 and the next year in May he was married to Miss Anna Christina Jensen. They made their home on a farm near Herman for some seventeen years, moving to this city, where he lived about ten years and for the past ten years has made his home with his sons in Lyons. He is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Fred Enger, of Herman, Mrs. Martin Larsen, and Mrs. Hayes B. Rosenbaum, both of Blair, and three sons, Edward and Carl, of Lyons, and William makes his home with Mrs. Larsen. He leaves on sister in Denmark and 9 grandchildren. He was a member of the I. O. O. F. Lodge at Lyons. His passing in comparatively early life leaves many friends to mourn with the bereaved relatives.
