J. S. Johns, an old resident of this county for many years, died at the home at Creston, Tenn., December 31.

Mr. Johns at one time owned and lived on the Austin Renshaw farm before moving to Tennessee.

He is the brother of J. D. Johns who lives south of Blair and an uncle of Mrs. Charles French of this county.
