Ruth M. Fisher, 63, of Missouri Valley, Iowa, died Wednesday, Nov. 24, 1999, at Clarkson Hospital in Omaha.

Services were Monday, Nov. 29, at Hennessey-Aman Funeral Home in Missouri Valley, Iowa. Pastor Ron Wymer officiated.

Ruth M. Fisher was born Dec. 26, 1935, to Ernest and Frieda (Moeller) Gaver of Ft. Calhoun. She worked as a waitress at Duffy’s in Missouri Valley for many years. On Dec. 18, 1982, she married Norman A. Fisher.

She is survived by her husband, Norman A. Fisher of Missouri Valley, Iowa; three daughters and sons-in-law, Christy and Gene Mattson of Battle Ground, Wash.; and Teresa Hawkins and friend, Jay, of Summerfield, Kan.; Valerie and Mike Peffer of Mondamin, Iowa; two sons and daughters-in-law, Robert and Sheila Beaty of Blair; and Kenneth and Brenda Beaty of Blair; four sisters, Ellen Boever of Tekamah; Helen Updike of Lyons, Lorena Haswell of Oakland and Mabel Beaty of Portland, Ore.; two brothers, Clinton Gaver of Norwood Mo.; and Dale Gaver of Blair; and 13 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Hennessey-Aman Funeral Home in Missouri Valley, Iowa, is in charge of the arrangements.
