Helen Booster, 89, of Blair, died Tuesday, May 9, 2006, at Crowell Memorial Home in Blair. She will be buried Friday, May 12, in McHenry, Ill.

She was born Dec. 9, 1916, in Aurora, Ind., and lived most of her life in and around the Chicago, Ill., area. She had lived with her son for the last two and a half years.

She is survived by one daughter, Diane Brody of California, and her son, Rev. John Emslie Jr. of Blair.

She was preceded in death by both her first and second husbands, John Emslie and Lorain Booster; one brother; four sisters; and a daughter, Dona Mohr.

Memorials are suggested to Trinity Lutheran Church in Blair.
