Edith (Quinlan) Krebs, age 93, died on Feb. 18 at the Fremont Health Medical Center. She was a resident of Nye Legacy in Fremont. She was born on June 3, 1924 in Blair, the daughter of John and Bridget Catherine (Curran) Quinlan.

A 1941 graduate of Blair High School, Edith attended business college and worked in Omaha until her marriage to Warren Krebs of Humphrey on Nov. 5, 1949, in Omaha. They were married for 64 years and lived most of their married life in Salina, Kan.

Edith was an active volunteer in many church and parochial school activities. She also enjoyed knitting, sewing and gardening, and was an avid golfer.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Warren Krebs; sisters, Elizabeth Lammers and Mary Bausch; brother, Patrick Quinlan.

She is survived by her son, Kevin Krebs, of Houston, Texas and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation begins on Friday, Feb. 23 at 6:30 p.m. at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church, 15353 Pacific St., Omaha, followed by vigil service at 7 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, Feb. 24 at 10 a.m. at St. Wenceslaus Church. Interment will follow at 2pm at St. Francis Cemetery in Humphrey.
