Taylor, Daniel M. 5/25/1899

The death of Daniel Taylor, son of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Taylor, occurred last Thursday evening. Deceased was born in Washington county about five miles west of Blair, May 9, 1870 and for the past twenty years has been a resident of this city, being twenty-nine years and sixteen days old. He attended school here and lacked but six months to graduate. For the past eleven years he has been afflicted but during all his sufferings he was patient, at times he was himself and then would be taken very bad. He was confined to his bed only five days, the last two before his death he was unconscious. He leaves a father, mother, one sister and many friends to mourn his demise. He was a loving son and brother and an earnest Christian, always trying to do the will of his Master. The funeral took place from the house Saturday at eleven o’clock, Rev. Barton of the M.E. Church officiating. A large concourse of sorrowing friends followed the remains to their last resting place. THE PILOT with the many friends of the family, extend heartfelt sympathy and would have them remember that what is their loss is his gain.
