As a farmer, he grew various crops of corn, soybeans, wheat and alfalfa. He was a big supporter of the local 4-H livestock premium auction and Sutton FFA program. In his later years, the Overturf Cattle Company was formed through he and his sons. Leo’s passion was raising Charolais-cross cattle.
