Barbara Lynn Feer, age 65, of Blair, passed away Saturday Feb. 24 at Nebraska Medicine in Omaha.

Barb was born on November 9, 1952 in Blair, Nebraska, the daughter of Wesley and Ruth Ann (VanDeusen) Sprick.She graduated from Blair High School in 1971 and then attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

Barb began dating Virgil Feer in 1969. On July 30, 1972 the couple was united in marriage at First Lutheran Church in Blair. On October 27, 1976 the couples first child was born, J.R., followed by their son Nick on Dec. 5, 1980.

Barb owned and operated The Victorian Shop in downtown Blair and later was a product designer for Tender Heart Treasures. Barb had a passion and talent for holiday decorating that she and Vigril shared together. Over the years she decorated countless homes and businesses for the holidays. She was especially proud of decorating the Vaile Mansion in Independence, Mo. and The Dodge House in Council Bluffs, Iowa.

She is survived by her mother Ruth Ann Sprick, sons J.R. and Nick Feer, grandchildren Caroline, Alex, Mason, Wesley and Steven; sister and brother-in-law Linda and Tom Lannin and nephews, Mike, Nate and Drew; sister and brother-in-law Sue and Doug Madsen, niece and nephew Jessica and Scott Tenski, Corey and Maddie Mae; brother Todd Sprick, and nieces Bailey and Evey.

Barb was preceded in death by her husband Virgil and her father Wesley Sprick.

Funeral Leaflet

Funeral services will be held Friday March 2 at 10:30 a.m. at First Lutheran Church in Blair. Graveside services will follow in the Blair Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday March 1 at Campbell Aman Funeral Home, with family receiving friends from 6-8 p.m.
