Charles Thomas Hawkins, age 85, of Fort Calhoun, died Feb. 24 in Omaha. He was preceded in death by his parents, Otis and Almeda (Dorn) Hawkins, a newborn daughter, sisters, Donna Marie Smith, Shirley Lantz, brother, Jimmy Joe Hawkins.

He is survived by his wife, Mary “Bobette” Hawkins, Fort Calhoun, daughter, Teresa (Rick) Hawkins, Blair, sons, Randy (Rhoda) of Carter Lake, Iowa, Bruce (Lonnie) of Weeping Water, Dale (Jerrian) of Ralston, Kevin of Omaha, Aaron (Jennifer) Belina of Blair, NE; Andre Belina of Fort Calhoun, NE; daughters, Amy (Matthew) Baack of Omaha, Angel (Garry) Yanke of Sacramento, CA; sister, Kit (Dick) Corwine of Omaha; eleven grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.

Memorial service will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday March 3 at Fort Calhoun Presbyterian Church. Internment will be at Fort Calhoun Cemetery. Military honors conducted by Fort Calhoun American Legion Post 348.

In lieu of traditional remembrances, memorials are suggested to Fort Calhoun Fire and Rescue or Fort Calhoun American Legion Post 348.
