Wade Richard Schweinfurth, 59, passed away February 28, 2018, at Crowell Memorial Home in Blair.

Wade was born September 22, 1958, in Iowa City, Iowa, to Ralph and Vivian (Mikkelson) Schweinfurth. He graduated from Mid-Prairie High School in 1976. Wade started working at Village Inn where he was a general manager. He later worked as a manager at M&H and as a manager at Aldi Grocery in Omaha. Wade enjoyed being around his family, friends and telling humorous stories that left everyone laughing. He was an avid deer hunter, fisherman, mushroom hunter, and outdoorsman. Wade also spent a lot of time gardening and had a passion for cooking.

Wade is survived by his mother, Vivian Schweinfurth of Iowa City; brother, Craig (Sue) Schweinfurth of Wellman, Iowa; daughters, Jamie Kauffman of Blair, Ambir Leehy of Fremont; son, Joshua Schweinfurth of Tazewell, Tenn.; five grandkids, Tyson, Payten, Kaden, Isabella, and Theda; his nieces, nephews, and many friends.

Wade is preceded in death by his father, Ralph Schweinfurth, brother, Brian Schweinfurth, and grandparents.

There will be a Celebration of Life Open House on Saturday, March 10, 2018, from 1-4 p.m. at 2645 Idaho Ave., Fremont. Memorials and cards may be sent to the same address.
