Mrs. Fred Siert Died Suddenly Last Thursday-Had Been Ill Since Noon-Attributed to Heart Aliment

Death came suddenly to Mrs. Fred Siert on last Thursday according to the attending physician the attributing cause was a heart attack. She had been troubled with high blood pressure for some time but the end came unexpectedly and as a great shock to friends as well as the immediate family.

Deceased was born in Missouri on Dec. 5, 1886, and she came here in early childhood. As Miss Minnie Nohrenberg she was married to Fred Siert in 1905 and they have, since that date, made Blair their home.

Her death leaves the bereaved husband and one daughter, Mrs. John M. Carpenter of Los Angeles, California, to mourn deeply their loss. Besides these she leaves a wide circle of friends who through years of association have learned to love and respect her for her many sterling qualities.

The daughter and son-in-law of Los Angeles were present at the funeral rites which were held at the Episcopal Church last Monday morning at ten o’clock with Father Charles Myers of Fremont officiating and interment under the direction of J. E. Campbell was made in the Blair Cemetery.

Death Claim Mrs. Fred Siert on Thursday-Health of Blair Woman Had Been Considered Improving

Mrs. Fred Siert, 55, well known Blair matron, passed away last Thursday evening. Her death came as a shock to friends, for she had been apparently improving in health the past few months, and had just recently returned from a California vacation trip.

Mrs. Siert was born in Ladonia, Missouri, in 1886, and moved to Blair as a young woman. In 1905 she married Mr. Siert, and the pair made their home in Blair for the duration of their married life,

At the time of her death, Mrs. Siert was a member of the Episcopal Church, was an active member of St. Mary’s guild, the Royal Neighbors, and other social organizations.

An especially sad note in Mrs. Siert’s death was the fact that a home was being built for her, across from the Catholic Church, which was to have contained all the domestic features she had always desired.

Born Minnie L. Nohrenberg, she is survived by her husband; a daughter, Mrs. John Carpenter of Los Angeles; two brothers, William Nohrenberg of Blair and Henry Nohrenberg of Omaha. A sister, Adalaide, and two brothers, Frank and Chris Nohrenberg, preceded her in death.

The Rev. Mr. Myers of Fremont conducted the funeral services Monday and interment was made in the local Cemetery.
