Myrtle M. Petersen was born Sept. 13, 1905, in Heron Lake, Minn., to Carl Emil and Jorgine Christine (Nielsen) Petersen. In 1909, she moved with her family to near Orum in Washington County. In 1910, the family moved to the Telbasta area, where she attended the Telbasta school. She became a practicing nurse, caring for a variety of patients.

On Oct. 14, 1925, she married George C. Boschult in Telbasta. They spent the winter of 1925-1926 in Long Beach, Calif. They moved back to Nebraska, where they became residents of Winslow, where her husband was engaged in business and served on the city council.

Mrs. Boschult was also involved in community service, serving on a hospital committee, which was located on Nye Avenue in Fremont. In 1934, the couple moved to a farm in Burt County, near Tekamah, where they were involved in farming and the livestock business.

Mrs. Boschult continued her involvement in the community as a member of two different neighborhood clubs, and helping to plant two spruce trees at Memorial Community Hospital in Blair, and working for other causes. She helped to organize the Salem Lutheran quilters at the Fontanelle church and remained a helper for many years. Mr. and Mrs. Boschult were active with their church group in the food and lunch area of the Washington County fair.

After her husband's death in 1975, Mrs. Boschult moved into Fremont. She remained a member of Salem Lutheran Church, and was a 75-year member of Friendship Chapter No. 122, Order of the Eastern Star, of Hooper, where she served as a past Worthy Matron of the chapter.

She is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Ellen and Harry Metcalf of Scottsdale, Ariz., and nieces and nephews.
