Mary (Zecof) Schoville, born on Jan. 26, 1921, passed away peacefully at Longview Nursing Home on March 9, 2018. She was preceded in death by her husband, Warren A. Schoville, and her son, Warren (Sonny) W. Schoville. She is survived by her deceased son’s wife, Rena Schoville of Omaha, her surviving son, Perly (Sandra) Schoville of Blair, and her daughters, Shari Fritz of Omaha, Sonja Martinez of Council Bluffs, Johnna (Chris) Knox, of Huntington, Texas, Colleen (Tom) Moses of Omaha and Brenda (Mike) Parker of Omaha, along with numerous grandchildren, great- grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Mary married Warren A. Schoville on January 31, 1942, just prior to his induction in to World War II, serving in the European Theatre. They spent time in Wisconsin farming, in Iowa butchering, to Utah installing furnaces and finally settling in Omaha, with Warren as a furnace man/electrician and Mary working for Vickers in Omaha, while raising two sons and five daughters.

Many a family member has sweaters, blankets, hats and rugs from her talented crocheting fingers. Well known for her homemade bread and frequently made sour kraut and cabbage meals as her home was always open as she welcomed friends and family traveling between coasts. She loved to fish and play cards. She trusted Jesus as her savior at the age of 65 and attended Country Bible Church from then on, until she was unable to travel. This time of year the smell of Easter Bread permeated her home.

A service was held at Country Bible Church, on March 16 at 10:30 AM to celebrate her life.
