| Word reached Herman of the death of John Leach, of Sauk Center, Minnesota, which occurred Monday, July 4, at his home. He was eating his dinner when a piece of meat became lodged in his throat and he died before he could be given help. He is the father of Harry Leach, of Herman, and was himself a resident here a number of years ago. The funeral services were held Thursday afternoon at Omaha and his body laid to rest in the Forest Lawn Cemetery. Those from Herman attending the funeral were: Mr. and Mrs. D. W. Rutledge, Wm. Rutledge, E. W. Burdie, J. A. West, Mr. and Mrs. Fern West and George Hart.
