Ida Augusta Emily Klabunde (Fuhrman)

Mrs. John Klabunde Dead-Former Resident of This County Stricken with Apoplexy at Brownton, Minn.

Mrs. John Klabunde, a former resident of Ft. Calhoun, suffered a paralytic stroke Thursday of last week at her home on a farm near Brownton, Minn., and died Friday. The funeral was held at the farm home on Monday, November 28th, Rev. Henry Weerts officiating. Interment was in the Oak Grove Cemetery.

Mr. and Mrs. Theo Klabunde of this city, Mrs. Fred Lorsch and Henry Fuhrman, of Ft. Calhoun, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Fuhrman of Florence, Minn., Mr. and Mrs. Tony Muntefering, of Parkston, S. D., and Mrs. Emily Discher and son, Herbert, of Leonard, S. D. were in attendance at the funeral service.

Ida Augusta Emily Fuhrman was born in Pomerania, Germany, March 25th, 1868, so was past 59 years of age. She was united in marriage to John Klabunde, March 18th, 1886 and five years later they emigrated to America, settling at Ft. Calhoun, which was their home for 24 years. In 1915 they removed to Parkston, S. D., and five years later moved to near Brownton, Minn.

She is survived by her husband, six sons, eight daughters, seven son-in-law, four daughters-in-law, 37 grandchildren, two brothers and one sister, besides many other relatives and friends.
