Roger L. Dixon

Published in the Pilot August 20, 1919

Little Roger, son of Mr. and Mrs. Chas. A. Dixon, formerly of this city died in a hospital in Sioux City last Friday following a second operation for obstruction of the bowels. He had been operated upon for appendicitis on the previous Saturday. The body was brought here last Saturday and the funeral service was held at the Lou Latta home at 4 o’clock in the afternoon, Rev. C. M. Foreman officiating. Mrs. Latta is an aunt of Mrs. Dixon and little Roger had been at her house so much he seemed almost like her own son. Roger was born in Maskell, Neb., June 26th, 1912, and was therefore, a little past seven years of age. Mr. Dixon worked for J. Mueller for some time and has many friends here who sympathize deeply with him and Mrs. Dixon over the loss of their first born. The have another son, Charles, Jr., who is now a year and a half old.
