Rodger Fitch, 67

Rodger Fitch, 67, formerly of Blair, died Saturday, Aug. 7, 1999, in Halstead, Kan., after a lengthy illness.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 11, at Campbell-Aman Funeral Home in Blair.

A military graveside service in the Herman Cemetery will follow.

Rodger Allen Fitch was born July 15, 1932, to Wallace and Gladys (Gilliam) Fitch in Blair.

He served for 18 months in the U.S. army during the Korean Conflict.

On Feb. 28, 1969, he married Judy Cooley in Omaha.

A plumber and pipefitter for many years, he was a member of the ARK Church in Maize, Kan., the Blair Eagles, Blair American Legion and Blair VFW.

He is survived by his wife, Judy, three sons, Michael Fitch of Newton, Kan., Patrick Fitch of Blair and Wallace Fitch of Halstead, Kan.; seven grandchildren; one brother, Bernard “Datty” Fitch of Blair; and two sisters, Mrs. Milton (Tootie) Sorensen of Blair, and Joyce Fitch of Blair.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Campbell-Aman Funeral Home in Blair is in charge of arrangements.
