Former Blairite Is Buried Here

Mrs. George C. Luken, the former Caroline Aye, passed away at her home in Omaha last Sunday following a brief illness.

Mrs. Luken will be remembered by many here since she was born and raised in this community.

The deceased was born in 1914, the daughter of Mrs. Ed Aye and the late Mr. Aye. She grew to womanhood in Blair, attending Blair High School and later attending school in Omaha. She was the wife of George C. Luken and they made their home at 1606 North 35th Street. She was employed in the office of the Cudahy Packing Co. in South Omaha. Death was attributed to a heart ailment which claimed her life after only five hours of illness.

Survivors are her husband and her mother, Mrs. Lena M. Aye, of Omaha and three brothers, Hans of Blair; John R. of Sioux City and Adolph of Seattle, Washington. A sister, Mrs. T. W. Wendell, of Omaha also survives.

Services were held Tuesday, October 26th at 2 o’clock p.m. at All Saints Episcopal Church in Omaha and burial was made in the Blair Cemetery.
