Robert M. Porter age 66 of Blair, entered into rest April 4, 2018 at Memorial Community Hospital in Blair. Visitation will be held Friday, April 6, 2018 at Campbell Aman Funeral Home beginning at 2 PM with family receiving friends from 6 to 8 PM and a Masonic Service at 7 PM. Military honors and services will be held at a later date in Scottdale Cemetery in Scottdale, Pennsylvania.

Bob was born on October 29, 1951 in Pendleton, Oregon the third child of Joseph and Pauline Porter. He grew up and attended school in Washington state and graduated from Columbia Basin Community College in Kennewick, Washington with a degree in Instrumentation and Technology. Bob was a Vietnam Era Veteran who served overseas in both Korea and Germany. In 1992 he began his career with Omaha Public Power District working there for 22 years until his retirement in 2014. He was a member of the Masonic Washington Lodge #21 of Blair and a Life member of the Order of the Amaranth in Pennsylvania. Bob will always be remembered as a devoted husband, caring father and an exceptional Papa to his grandchildren.

He is survived by his loving wife, Marna of Blair; daughters: Jacalyn Siegele of Omaha, Darlene (Terence) Nazarian of Blair; sons: Robert (Cassie) Porter Jr. of Washington State, Brian Culp of Omaha; brothers: Joseph Porter of Utah, Tom (Jan) Porter of Montana, Steve Porter of Blair; sisters Barbara Crowder of David City, NE, and Brenda Dunn of Oregon; mother-in-law Mary Jane Murphy of North Huntingdon, PA; grandchildren: Jody Mae Siegele of Omaha, Samantha Culp and Gabriel Culp of Papillion, Cupie Nazarian and Terence R. Nazarian of Blair.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Larry Porter and his father-in-law George Murphy.
