Monday Geo. B. Riker arrived in Blair with the body which was taken direct to the cemetery where a brief service was conducted by Rev. Sturdevant and all that was mortal of Horace Bowen was laid to rest by the side of his parents and three brothers who had preceded him to the great beyond.

Mr. Bowen was sixty-three years of age and will be remembered by all of the earlier residents of Blair and Kennard, as he lived for many years on a farm near the latter place. He wa unmarried but leaves two sisters, Lucy of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Mrs. Anna Smiley of Omaha, one brother, Harry of Chicago.

Mrs. Smiley and Mrs. W.R. Bowen, a sister-in-law of the deceased, were up from Omaha to attend the last sad rites.
