John S. Bowen, Jr., commonly called by his middle name, Stephenson, or "Stints," died on Tuesday at the residence of his sister, Mrs. Smiley, in Omaha. He was aged about 49 years, was a bright and intelligent man, apparently of good habits, an interesting talker, and an old soldier. He was never married, and leaves a mother and sister in Blair. His remains were brought from Omaha by his brother, W.R. Bowen, his mother and sisters, and interred in the Blair cemetery.
