Glen S. Fitchhorn, 74

Glen S. Fitchhorn, 74, of Blair, died Friday, April 30, 2004, at Methodist Hospital in Omaha.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 4, at First Lutheran Church in Blair. Interment will be in the Blair Cemetery.

Glen S. Fitchhorn was born Nov. 26, 1929, to Glen Dickerson and Mildred (Campbell) Fitchhorn. At an early age, he moved to Blair with his family, where he lived the rest of his life.

He graduated from Blair High School, and served in the U.S. Air Force from October 1949 until October 1955.

On March 8, 1952, he married Barbara Myler in Logan, Iowa.

Mr. Fitchhorn started his bricklayer apprenticeship with Korshoj Construction in Blair. He worked for Korshoj’s for several years, and then worked in Omaha for several companies before retiring in 1991. Mr. Fitchhorn then worked for Woodhouse Ford for seven years, and was responsible for picking up and delivering cars and pickups.

He was as avid Husker fan and fisherman. He enjoyed fishing in South Dakota and other states, along with his wife.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara; sons and daughters-in-law, Richard Eugene and Lou Ann of Blair; Michael Glen and Kelly of Omaha; daughter, Debra Kay Braun of Modale, Iowa; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Wanda Frahm and Loretta and Don Wackerbarth of Blair.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Letha Mae McBride, and brother, John V. Fitchhorn.

Campbell-Aman Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Services 10 am Tues First Lutheran Church. Burial Blair Cemetery. Visitation begins 9am Mon with family receiving visitors 6-8pm at Funeral Home.
