Ella G. Bowman, age 91, of Tekamah, passed away on Friday morning, Sept 23rd, 1988, at the Tekamah Nursing Center.

Ella was born on Aug 28th, 1897, at Creighton, Nebraska to Byron and Carrie (Heavan) Cannady. She grew up in Knox County, Nebraska and later attended the Craig Public Schools.

She was married to Robert Hogan at Herman in 1916. To this union was born one son, who died in infancy. Mr. Hogan passed away in 1944. Ella later married Alfred Bowman in June of 1945. Mr. Bowman passed away in 1968. Ella was a longtime member of the First Evangelical Lutheran Church at Oakland, Nebraska.

Survivors include two sisters: Stella Conklin of Fremont and Ruth Robb of Albany, Oregon; one brother, Bud Cannady of Colburg, Oregon; many nieces and nephews. Ella was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, three sisters, one brother and one infant son.

Funeral Services were held at 2 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 26th, 1988, at the First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Oakland with Rev. Dr. L. Dale Lund officiating. Interment was in the Oakland Cemetery.
