Lillian E. (Leckband) Boyd, 80, of Sioux City, Iowa, died Saturday, Nov. 6, 1999, at Sioux City Hospital in Sioux City, Iowa.

Services were Tuesday, Nov. 9., at Cathedral of the Epiphany in Sioux City, Iowa. The Revs. Paul Kelly and Gerald Hartz concelebrated. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery.

Lillian E. Boyd was born February 13, 1919, to John and Pauline (Berndt) Leckand of Sioux City, Iowa. She graduated from Central High School in 1927.

She married William Adams in 1937. He died in 1945. On January 28, 1950 she married William Boyd in Sioux City, Iowa. He died Sept. 2, 1995.

She worked as a receptionist for Drs. McBbride and Stauch. She then worked for many years at Betty's Bridal Shop, retiring in 1978.

She was a Cub Scout Den Leader for several years, and active in serving funeral luncheons at the church for several years. She was a member of the Cathedral of the Epiphany and a member of the Retired Postal Workers of America.

She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Bill and Jeanne Boyd of Ft. Calhoun; and James and Margo Boyd of Phoenix, Ariz., three daughters and two sons-in-law, L. Ann and Dr. Richard Tester of Corona Del Mar, Calif.; Margie and Doug Henrichsen of Lecompton, Kan., and Susan Boyd of Sioux City, Iowa; one brother, Arthur Leckband of Salina, Kan.; 15 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, three sisters, four brothers and a son, Joe, who died at birth.

Memorials are suggested to the Big Sioux Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association.

Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
