Mrs. Catharine C. Sorensen Buried At Woodbine, Iowa

Mrs. Catharine C. Sorensen, well known teacher in the Mathematics department of the Blair City Schools, died Sunday at Memorial Community Hospital in Blair. Mrs. Sorensen was 59 years old.

She was born May 10th, 1910, at Magnolia, Iowa and was living in the Ft. Calhoun area at the time of her death. Her husband had preceded her in death.

Rosary was recited at the Campbell Mortuary Tuesday evening and funeral services were held at 11 o’clock Wednesday morning. Father Daniel Brick of St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church conducted the service.

Mrs. Sorensen is survived by a son and five daughters. A daughter, Mrs. Donald Filter (Marry) lives in Omaha. Four other daughters and a son were living at home. Other daughters are Miss Agnes Kathleen Sorensen, Miss Helen Sorensen, Miss Jane Sorensen, and Miss Mary Sorensen. The son is Larry P. Sorensen.

A sister, Mrs. Clarence McCrickard, lives at Missouri Valley, Iowa; another sister, Mrs. Hugo Rodenburg, lives at Neola, Iowa. A brother, Philip Forde, resides at Magnolia, Iowa and a sister, Mrs. Donald McFee, lives at Logan, Iowa.

There is one granddaughter.

Pallbearers at the services were Gerald Otte, Louis Sully, John E. Jensen, Wilbur Clements, Gene Vallier, and Junior Buckhead.
