Mrs. Jens Nielsen passed away Wednesday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. W. B. Rosenbaum, after only being bedfast about three weeks.

The funeral services were held Saturday at 2 o’clock from the Lutheran Church of Kennard, and interment was made by the side of her husband in the Kennard Cemetery.

Marie Nielsen was born in Velle, Denmark, August 11th, 1838, was married to Jens Nielsen May 28, 1869. They emigrated to American the same year and lived in Omaha for five years. Afterward making their home on their farm, northwest of Kennard, until 1900. Then moving to Kennard where they lived until her husband’s death, which occurred December 27, 1916, then making her home with her children until her death, October 15, 1919.

To this union five children were born, three surviving, Nelse Nelsen, of Omaha, Mike and Mrs. W. B. Rosenbaum, of near Kennard. Also fifteen grandchildren are left to mourn the death of a dear one.
