MRS. NANCY BRAND IS BURIED SUNDAY

CROWELL HOME RESIDENT, 85, FORMERLY RESIDED IN FONTANELLE

Resident of Washington and Dodge counties for many years, Mrs. Nancy Brand, aged 85, died Friday evening at the Crowell Memorial Home following a stroke she suffered the preceding day. She had been active and well despite her advanced age.

Her husband, Fred Brand, died in 1920, and for several years she had resided in Blair. Born in Illinois, Mrs. Brand came to Fontanelle shortly after her marriage.

She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Jennie Johnson of Fremont and Mrs. Rose Jensen of Bridgeport; and four sons, Frank and Robert Brand of Fontanelle, Henry of Craig and George of Foster. A daughter, Mrs. Henry Rittscher, and a son, Ed Brand, preceded her in death.

Funeral services were conducted Sunday afternoon, with further rites and interment following at Fontanelle.
