George W. Robertson, 69, well-known resident of Kennard since he retired from farming 26 years ago died Saturday at his home in Kennard after an illness.

Mr. Robertson was born February 19, 1869, at Breckenridge, Kentucky, and was married April 14, 1897, in Kennard to Miss Nannie Bates. Five children were born to the couple, one of whom died in infancy.

Surviving are his wife; three daughters, Mrs. Lola Garriott of Kennard, Mrs. Mary Shaul of Kennard and Mrs. Mable Baker of Omaha; a son, Leland Robertson, of Kennard and Omaha; three sisters, Mrs. C. C. Cunningham of Arlington, Mrs. Alice Menking of Elsie, Nebraska, and Mrs. Jesse Tallman of San Francisco; and a brother, Will, of Wallace, Nebraska. There are ten grandchildren.

Funeral services in charge of the Campbell Mortuary of Blair, were held Monday afternoon at the Kennard Methodist church, with a large crowd present. The Rev. E. P. Booher of Union, former pastor there officiated, and interment was in Kennard Cemetery.
