Mrs. Martha Flake (Anna Johanna) who had been making her home with her son, Glenn and family at Herman died last Friday at the Dodge County Community Hospital in Fremont. She was 77 years of age.

She was born at Arlington, November 24, 1893, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Herman Gieselmann. She grew to womanhood in the Arlington area.

Her husband preceded her in death and she is survived by a son, Glenn and a daughter, Helen, now Mrs. Kenneth Wubbenhorst of Whittier, California. There is one grandchild.

Four sisters are living: Mrs. Elsie Gruenke and Mrs. Edna Bartling, of Fremont; Mrs. Nora Franke of Herman and Miss Ella Gieselmann, of Arlington.

Funeral services were held at the Salem Lutheran Church at Fontanelle, Wednesday afternoon with the Rev. Otto Spehr conducting the service. Burial was made in the Blair Cemetery under the direction of the Bendorf Funeral Home.

Pallbearers were Maynard Franke, Raymond Gruenke, Melvin Gieselmann, Chester Schafersman, Rolland Nelson and Leslie Kruger.
