C. M. Ward Dies of Heart Ailment

Cassius M. Ward, 56, salesman for the A.Y. McDonald Manufacturing Company for 17 years, died of a heart ailment early Friday at his home, 4810 Florence Boulevard. He became ill suddenly Thursday at Hamburg, Ia.

Mr. Ward came to Omaha from Kennard, Neb. He was a member of Pearl Methodist Church here, and of the Masonic Lodge at Kennard.

Survivors: Wife, Anna; daughter, Mrs. Richard Nelson, Omaha; brothers, Leland, Omaha; Carl and Homer, both of Kennard; father, L. E. Ward, Kennard; sisters Mrs. Glenn Rosenbaum, Kennard, and Mrs. Frank Timblin, Bee, Neb., and one grandchild.

N. P. Swanson Mortuary is in charge of funeral arrangements.

Merton Ward

C. Merton Ward of Omaha passed away at his home in Omaha last Friday morning at 4:30 a.m. at the age of 55 years.

Deceased spent his early years in Kennard and for a long term of years was connected with his father, L. E. Ward in the hardware business. For the past seventeen years he has been in the employ of the A. Y. McDonald Co. of Omaha as a salesman.

He leaves to mourn him his wife and one daughter, Mrs. Corine Nelson and one grandchild, also his father, L. E. Ward of Kennard; two sisters, Mrs. Glen Rosenbaum of Kennard and Mrs. Frank Timblin of Bee, Nebraska, and three brothers, Carl and Homer of Kennard and Leland of Omaha.

Funeral serves were held in Omaha on Monday and interment was made in the Kennard Cemetery.

Mr. and Mrs. Frank Timblin and Wanda Lou of Bee, and Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Alexander and Billie of Scribner, came to Kennard Saturday, being called here by the sudden death at Omaha the preceding day, of Mrs. Timblin's brother, and Mrs. Alexander's uncle, C. Merton Ward.

These people with many others from here, drove to Omaha Monday to attend funeral services for Mr. Ward. A short service was held at Kennard Cemetery where burial was made.
