Marian E. Fleischman, age 60, of rural Craig, died early on Thursday morning, March 3, 1989, after an extended illness.

Marian was born on October 16, 1928, in Webster County, Missouri, to E. Sherman and Naomi Ruth (Palmer) Edwards. She married Carl A. Fleischman at Lebanon, Missouri, on February 3, 1947. The couple lived and farmed near Craig all their married life.

Marian was a member of the Emanuel Lutheran Church at Tekamah. A true homemaker at heart, she cared for her invalid husband for many years until her declining health prevented her from doing so.

Survivors include her husband, Carl A. Fleischman of the Logan Valley Manor at Lyons; her parents, E. Sherman and Naomi Edwards of Lebanon, Missouri; three sisters; Leatrice E. (Mrs. Kenneth) Nyberg of Buffalo, Missouri, Darlis R. (Mrs. James) Scobey of Farmington, Missouri, and Nita R. (Mrs. Ron) McMillan of Memphis, Tennessee; many nieces and nephews, and a host of friends.

Funeral services were Saturday, April 1, at the Emmanuel Lutheran in Tekamah with Rv. David L. Nystrom officiating. Interment was in the Tekamah Cemetery. Arrangements were handled by the Hamel & Peck Funeral Home in Tekamah.
