Burl G. Branz, 70, of Williamsport, Ind., died Monday, July 5, 1999, at Home Hospital in Lafayette, Ind.

Services were Thursday, July 8, in Attica.

Burl G. Branz was born July 19, 1928, in Sibley, Ill.

He was raised there and graduated from Sibley Community School in 1946.

On Nov.25, 1948, he married Nora M. Hammond in Sibley and the couple moved to Williamsport, Ind. in 1971.

A former personnel director at Radio Material Corp. in Attica for 13 1/2 years, he later worked at Fairfield Mfg. Co for six years before retiring in 1997.

He was a member of the Attica First Lutheran Church where he served on the church council. He was an avid fan of the Chicago Cubs and Chicago Bears, and he followed the Purdue women's basketball team.

He is survived by his wife; four sons, Mike Branz of Blair, Carl Branz of Oxford, Lynn Branz of Clinton, and Mark Branz of Pine Village; daughter, Mrs. Mike (Lori) Barnhart of Williamsport; two brothers, Merton Branz and Orvin Branz, both of Gibson City, Ill.; and one sister, Pauline Evans of Sun City West, Ariz.
