Elmer G. Wulf, 87

Elmer G. Wulf, 87, of Blair, died Thursday, Feb. 28, 2002, at Memorial Community Hospital in Blair.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Monday, March 4, at St. John's Lutheran Church in Bennington. Interment will be in the Kennard Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Sunday at Campbell-Aman Funeral Home, with family receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m.

Elmer G. Wulf was born March 15, 1914, in rural Bennington to Columbus and Magdalena (Logemann) Wulf. He attended elementary school in rural Bennington and high school in Bennington. He then attended the University of Nebraska agriculture short course for two years.

He was baptized and confirmed at St. John's Lutheran Church in Bennington, where he was a life-long member.

On April 21, 1937, he married Evelyn Andersen at rural Kennard.

Mr. Wulf was a 4-H leader for many years, served on the Dornacker School Board, and served on the rural fire board of the Bennington Fire Department for 18 years. He farmed in the Bennington and Kennard areas all his life. In 1991, the couple moved to Blair to enjoy their retirement.

Mr. Wulf is survived by his wife, Evelyn, son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Janelle Wulf of Hooper, son, Lynn Wulf of Denver, Colo., three grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and brother and sister-in-law, Roy and Rose Wulf of Bennington.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Janice, and sister and brother-in-law, Loretta and Chris Johannsen.

Memorials are suggested to Good Shepherd Lutheran Home.
